THE TRAVELING BAG TAG

Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026 · Updated to describe "I'm at a course"

The short version. Your courses, rounds, and bag tags live on your device and in your own private iCloud account. We don't have servers that store your data, we don't have accounts, we don't run ads or analytics, and we never sell or share anything about you.

What the app stores

The Traveling Bag Tag keeps the information you enter: the courses you've played and the ones on your bucket list, the rounds you log, the name you put on your tag, and the home town you choose. This stays on your device.

If you're signed in to iCloud, the app also saves it to your private iCloud database so it appears on your other Apple devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We can't see it, read it, or access it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What leaves your device

That's all. The app doesn't contain advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software from any third party.

What we don't do

Files you import

If you import the course template, the file is read on your device to find the course names and places. It isn't uploaded anywhere. Course names from it are looked up with Apple Maps as described above.

Deleting your data

Delete a course in the app and it's removed from your device and your iCloud. To remove everything, delete the app, then on your iPhone open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, choose The Traveling Bag Tag, and delete its data.

Children

The app doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
